Women’s Excellence is pleased to offer comprehensive gynecologic oncology services at the Cancer Center for women located in Rochester, Michigan off of M-59 and Crooks.
The Cancer Center for Women is directed by Dr. Douglas Pugmire. Dr. Pugmire specializes in gynecologic oncology and minimally invasive procedures like robotic surgery.
The Cancer Center for Women will offer treatment options and services to women with gynecologic cancers like cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, and vaginal and vulvar cancers. In addition to oncology services, the new center will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of various pelvic pain disorders including endometriosis, menorrhagia (abnormal heavy bleeding during menstruation), uterine fibroids, and uterine and pelvic adhesions (scar tissue).
Dr. Pugmire has performed over 1,100 non-invasive robotic surgeries and ranks among the top ten in total number of robotic procedures performed nationally. In addition to performing robotic surgeries, Dr. Pugmire proctors hundreds of robotic cases and trains new robotic surgeons on a regular basis.
