Any woman experiencing flu-like symptoms or choosing to avoid public places can now still receive comprehensive women’s healthcare services. Women’s Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology of southeastern Michigan now offers Specialty Virtual Care visits in response to the recent outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
“It is our duty to keep our community safe and healthy. With our new Specialty Virtual Care program, we can keep patients’ home and out of waiting rooms while still providing excellent care,” said Dr. Jonathan Zaidan, MD, FACOG, President of Women’s Excellence. “Many of our healthcare providers are trained on virtual care visits and are ready to jump online and see patients when needed!”
Women’s Excellence offers Specialty Virtual Care appointments for a variety of visits including gynecologic concerns, lab result questions and follow up, imaging results, initial consultations for specialty services, menopause concerns, weight program consultations, and more.
In order to schedule a Specialty Virtual Care appointment, patients will need access to a computer or mobile device with video and microphone capabilities. Although many visits can be done solely through Specialty Virtual Care, some visits will require in office visits for blood draws and imaging with options for patient convenience.
