How much does 3D/4D ultrasound cost? Is it covered by insurance?
- Since 3D/4D ultrasound is an elective imaging scan and not diagnostically required, insurance will not cover the cost of your ultrasound. We have affordable packages available with printed scans and CD images if you desire.

When Should I schedule my ultrasound?
- We recommend to have your ultrasound between 28-32 weeks gestation. At this time, your baby’s facial features and more defined and then baby still has a bit of room to move around in your belly. The later the gestation, the more challenging it becomes to get certain images because the baby begins to run out of space in the womb.
What should I wear?
- We recommend loose, comfortable clothing. This is an external ultrasound on your belly, so you will not be required to disrobe. Stretchy pants, like leggings, are preferred.
How is 3D/4D ultrasound different from ultrasounds ordered from my doctor?
- A 3D/4D ultrasounds is your choice and will provide no diagnostic feedback, only high quality images of your baby.
- Routine diagnostic ultrasounds are ordered by your medical provider to assess gestational development, gender, and identify and fetal abnormalities.
Will I get a beautiful picture of my baby?
- Our ultrasound technicians are highly trained and experienced in 3D/4D ultrasounds. Majority of women are extremely happy with the images attained from the ultrasound.
Can I invite guests?
- Yes! This is a wonderful experience that you can share with your family and loved ones. We ask you to limit your guests to two as space is limited in our ultrasound room.
