A digital mammography takes numerous high-quality images from various angles of the breast. This allows for a more detailed view of the breast for more accurate readings by a board-certified radiologist.

Women’s Excellence recommends that women begin yearly breasts screenings at the age of 40. However, some women have certain risk factors such as family history by a gene mutation that may allow for earlier screening. Women’s Excellence offers genetic cancer testing to women with a family history of breast cancer or other cancers. This test will determine if you are carrying a specific gene that is known to cause breast cancer.
