Women’s Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology Earns ACR Accreditation for New Mammography Services
ACR Gold Seal of Accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety.
Women’s Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology is proud to have earned ACR Mammography Accreditation for their recent implementation of mammography services. Women’s Excellence has been awarded a 3-year term of accreditation in Mammography. Mammograms are a non-invasive imaging scan for breast diagnosis and screening. The goal of a mammogram is early detection of breast cancer in women.

The ACR gold seal of accreditation is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed. The findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report they can use for continuous practice improvement.
To achieve the ACR Gold Standard of Accreditation, our facility’s personnel qualifications, equipment requirements, quality assurance, and quality control procedures have gone through a rigorous review process and have met specific qualifications. It’s important for patients to know that every aspect of the ACR mammography accreditation process is overseen by board-certified, expert radiologists and medical physicists in advanced diagnostic imaging.
